Sport in Flims

Flims is an outdoor sports paradise. Hiking, mountain biking, skiing and much more: here all dreams come true for sports enthusiasts.

Summer

Skating

The two pump tracks in Flims (by the old schoolhouse) and in Laax (by the rocksresort) mean you can surf the waves on anything that rolls. There are also new facilities for skaters, inline skaters, kickboards and bikers at the GALAAXY Park on Crap Sogn Gion.

Stand-Up Paddeling

Surfing feeling in Flims? Just grab your stand-up paddle boards and float across Lake Cauma, Lake Cresta or Lake Laax. The boards can be hired directly at the lakes.

Bathing

Bathing holidays in Flims? Sure! Two of Switzerland's most beautiful mountain lakes are tucked away in the Flims forest. The two pearls, Lake Cresta and Lake Cauma, have long transcended the status of an insider tip. You can reach them on foot, by bike or by Conn-Taxi (horse-drawn carriage). But you can also swim at the Rhine, the Laaxersee, the Badi in Ilanz and in the glacier mills of Alp Mora.

Trail-Running

The relatively new sport of trail running is also an integral part of the programme in Flims. The trails are well-developed and offer a great view over the Flims sun terrace. Perfect for working on your cardio and exploring the beauty of the Swiss alps.

Hiking

Explore the famous Tschingelhörner and Martinsloch on foot—or would you rather hike to the Rhine Gorge, Lake Cresta and Lake Cauma? The Flims hiking network extends over 250 kilometres that are waiting to be discovered! From easy, yellow trails to challenging alpine peaks - it's all here, right by your feet.

Biking

330 kilometres of biking await you in Flims Laax Falera. There is the right trail for everyone: for downhillers, enduro freaks, e-bikers and road cyclists. Whether up to the Vorab glacier at almost 3000 metres above sea level or into the Rhine Gorge at just 600 metres above sea level - Flims is an incredibly versatile biking area.

Winter

Snowshoeing

When it snows properly, snowshoes are a great help on a winter hike. In the Flims region there are plenty of marked snowshoe trails for great views, especially on the mountain.

Winter hiking

"You've only really been where you've been on foot" can also be taken seriously in winter. The winter hiking trails in the Flims region are varied on the mountain and in the valley - always prepared and accessible with hiking boots.

Cross-country skiing

There are 62 kilometres of cross-country skiing trails for fans of nordic skiing disciplines on the mountain and in the valley in the Flims region. For example in Bargis, Flims Waldhaus, on the Plaun plateau, in Trin and Sagogn.

Skiing & Snowboarding

Flims Laax Falera, better known as LAAX, is one of the most popular and modern ski resorts in the Alps. Over 200 kilometres of pistes, four snow parks for freestylers and many deep powder slopes for freeriders make this winter paradise your perfect choice.

La Mira Wellness & Spa

First work out, then relax: At La Mira Wellness & Spa you will find relaxation after every big effort. Whether sauna or ice shower is up to you. One thing is for certain: the sports massage is always a welcome experience and supports your body's natural regenerative powers!

Activities

Flims is like a Swiss army knife - for a varied holiday programme! Whether sporting activities on the mountain or relaxing walks in the Rhine Gorge, swimming in Lake Cauma, biking on the Runcatrail, an e-bike tour or a museum visit in the famous yellow house. You can even go shopping in Flims - among other places in the Stenna Centre, where you will also find a cinema.
